OK So I know I promised that I would update more but life has just been so busy! We are at 22 weeks and 4 days. WOOW Can't believe I am past half way. It is amazing to think that in 4 months I am going to meet my son!
OHH Yes, we did find out ITS A BOY! One of the best moments of my life! He is perfect and healthy!
We were diagnosed with partial placenta previa which makes me a bit nervous as it is not something I know much about. Most of the time the baby moves the placenta up as he grows and we will not have any complications. So for now I am just praying this happens!
We also found a new place to live! HOORAY it is so nice and I am super excited!
I promise to try and update soon. Before I go a few photos for your enjoyment!
And we did register this past weekend.. wow was that way more overwhelming that I ever expected! We are missing a bunch my mommy friends have been so helpful so we are going to go back for round two but this is my handsome hubby trying out the stroller we chose!
Welcome to the crazy roller coaster I call my life. Come on by for an inside scoop of my life. I am 28yrs old, married to the love of my life and dealing with infertility.. Still interested? Read on.

First Baby Purchase!!
So this weekend I went to my first kids consignment sale as a mom to be! It was a bit overwhelming and while it is still early in my pregnancy I did make my very first purchase! I got a four pack of Alex & Anais Swaddle blankets for just $15, a bag of colored links for $1, and a small cute toy for the car seat for another $1!! Not bad if you ask me! I already have plans to go to another one in a few weeks!
Also got to celebrate Michael's 2nd birthday. He is the son of a close friend of mine. That was a great afternoon to spend with everyone and I even met a new friend! So far.. great weekend!!

15w6d ok.ok.ok
OK... I know I said I would keep up with my blogging but I fell off the bandwagon! Ahhh sorry everyone! I hereby promise I will try better now!
So much has happened since my last post! We had our second ultrasound and this time the baby really looked like a baby! Very active and jumping all around! It was just amazing and I am so glad my husband and I could experience that! Here is a picture of our lil bouncing jelly bean!
Nothing too much going on. I have been having tons of insomnia which I suppose is good since I won't be getting much sleep once the baby gets here anyways! Our next appointment is on May 10th which is our anatomy scan we can't wait!! My belly really popped out a few weeks ago! Its a whole lota craziness! But I love it so much!
This is my 15wk baby belly! HOLY MOLY!!

are YOU ready!!..........
OK let me start by saying these past 8 weeks have just been crazy and I cannot believe I haven't updated my blog! I am so sorry! Second.. let me take you back.. back starting on 11dpIUI
Tuesday January 22th..
So I woke up, well couldn't really sleep. I knew it was getting closer and closer to testing day! I was getting so anxious and figured what they hay.. lets POAS an see what happens. Soooo at 6am bright and early I peed on a cheapie and this is what I got..
Now.. I know it looks like there is nothing there.. but if you put on your best squinty eyes you can see a very.. and I mean VERY faint line.. OMG OMG OMG I started freaking out. Is this it? Could it still be my trigger.. I just couldn't believe it, I had never seen any second line ever. So I sucked in this little secret and got ready for work. On my way I stopped and loaded up on the good pregnancy tests. Check out my score..
Was able to make it through the day without talking to anyone! Got home and started freaking out! Told Brandon what happened and he started freaking out. THEN I POAS again this time on the First Response Early Response.. Got this

A CLEAR second LINE!! OMG OMG OMG I remember it like it was yesterday. I was crying, so happy! Brandon was right next to me reading the box directions haha! This was IT the start of the rest of our lives!!
While I was still sort of freaking out inside as the trigger injection I had given myself to release my eggs for the IUI can make a pregnancy test positive so I really wasn't 100000000% sure this was it. I still felt confident enough to share the news with my BFF. She was so overjoyed! We were screaming/crying! It was great!
The next day I called my RE nurse line, asked to have my Beta blood test moved up. There was NO way I was waiting till Friday! They agreed and I went that night! The next morning (Thursday now) she called to say. "Alicia YOUR PREGNANT" Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat OMG seriously!! First Beta 50.5!!!! It was one of the best days of my life hands down! I called my mom (we cried) called my dad (he was so overjoyed) and my brother who was really excited! The news was out!
Now in the middle of all this I was still sorta POAS.. a lot. So much for that New Years resolution!!
I still had to go back for two more blood test to ensure my levels are rising correctly. Second beta was done Saturday 15dpIUI and that came back at a whopping 212. I was pregnant I mean def pregnant. I was still sort of in shock! Third beta was done on Monday came in at 452! This was it! Honestly I think I was still in shock!
First ultrasound was scheduled for 6w6d on Valentines day!! There are just no words for this experience! We saw one little baby, the sac, and the yolk exactly where it was supposed to be! I was holding my breath at this point so nervous and excited! Everything looked great! I was measuring 6w4d which was perfect! Then the tech found the heart and seeing that thumping on the u/s screen was so amazing! I just couldn't and still can't believe that was even possible! We were even able to hear it! I started bawling! I just couldn't believe it was so real, that was our baby in there!!
So. EDD is October 4th 2013! One little bean on the way with a beautiful heartbeat of 133. Check baby Smitty out!
It is real! We are going to be PARENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that the news is officially out to blogspot I promise I will not neglect my blog anymore!
Today marks 8w3d and we have our first appointment with the OB tomorrow! Stay tuned

CD12 and IUI #1
Well, IUI #1 is done! This morning Brandon and I woke up early, got ready and headed off to RSC! We arrived there and that's where it all started!
Brandon headed off to collect his sample! it was pretty nice if you ask me! I will post the video he took of the collection room later. Then we waited while they washed, checked, and counted the sperm! Then It was the moment of truth!!!!
The nurse came in (her name was Alicia) ironic you might say! Explained the procedure and gave us the results of the sample. They look for at least 10 million Brandon he had 136 million.. Overachiever!!! He was pumped, macho man! Haha
The actual procedure was quick. They insert a small catheter into my cervix and inject the sample. The goal is to get the semen as close to its goal the egg as possible! It went perfect!!!! I was extremely worried about any pain as I had a horrible experience with the HSG I had done but it went great!
Now I sit here thinking about the 136 million sperm on their way up my fallopian tubes to my lucky 18mm egg and can't help but smile! Swim little guys swim!
Beta scheduled for 1/25/13 ahhhhh
And welcome to the official two week wait!

CD3 Start of injects & My anniversary!
OK so first let me start off by saying my wonderful husband and I have been married for 2 great years today. It seems like it has flew by, he is my best friend and I am so so lucky to be his wife! We celebrated with some wonderful dinner at a great Italian place. It was so nice to get out just the two of us and just relax! He did get me some beautiful flowers too! He is such a romantic sometimes! <3
OK onto the good stuff.. so as soon as we came into the house from dinner Brandon was ready to get down to business. The Gonal-F pen business. You see, I still can't inject myself. I have no idea why its just something in my brain saying NO NO NO don't do it. HA So he has gotten pretty good with it. But he didn't want to waste any time so he pulled out everything before we started and it sorta went something like this..
I'M READY HONEY!!! Just lay down and relax
Not going to lie... I was a little freaked out.. maybe due to his genuine excitement of injecting me. Here is a few close ups
And the moment of truth!
Please be working Gonal-F please please please do your thing! Grow follies grow.. you can do it. This stuff is like miracle grow for my follicles.
The plan right know is to do injects every night for the next three nights. Then the day following I will go for an U/S to check things out. See how my follies are growing and we will go from there!
Crossing everything I have! I'll update soon! xoxo

Happy New Year! CD2
Happy New Year everyone! I started off 2013 with a big date with the vag cam this morning! Everything looked good and I am waiting for the nurse to call me with my instructions for this cycle! I am ready to get this show on the road.
This year I do have a few new years resolutions.
- Get KTFU but I figure you guys already knew that.
- Move into a new apt/condo/home something that is NOT where we live now as I can't stand it.
- Start taking my vitamins and Metformin exactly when I am supposed to everyday. I tend to forget and that's not good.
- Start exercising regularly to get healthy.
- Be better with money management.
- Keep up on my blog!
- Be more positive.
- Stop peeing on so many sticks
I know there is more, but this is good for now!
So my first purchase of the new year was something pretty cool! A plush egg. HA I know it sounds crazy but I am really looking forward to getting it and taking it on all my adventures TTTC wonder if Brandon will feel the same way! Stay tuned for name and photo upon arrival!
